Fort Bragg Proposes Entertainment Center

The military is proposing a $21 million entertainment complex at Fort Bragg with a movie theater, restaurants and space for live performances.

The Fayetteville Observer reports the complex will be called Freedom Crossing. The finance committee of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service approved the idea last month.

The project must still be approved by the agency’s board of directors and then Congress.

But if all approvals are received, construction could begin as early as summer with completion in early 2017.

The plans call for a multiscreen movie theater as well as restaurants, a live performance space, a playground and a small park.
