Predictions for 2015?

What does your crystal ball have to say about the world of live music in this brand spanking new year?  Got a favorite under-the-radar act that you think will hit it big in 2015?  Do you believe co-headlines and packaged tours will rule the next 12 months?  And what about ticket prices?

This is the time of year for predictions about everything ranging from who will find love with “The Bachelor” to North Korea’s Kim Jong-un launching nuclear Armageddon.  In between you might find prophecies about global warming, who will win the Super Bowl and how 2015 will be the year of the zombie apocalypse.

This is also the time when many scribes make predictions about music, often listing the acts they expect to hit the big time.

However, Forbes’ Zack O’Malley Greenburg didn’t post a laundry list of indie bands deserving your support. Instead, the music/entertainment business reporter announced four predictions for 2015 – Adele’s new album will go platinum, Justin Bieber will spend more money than he makes, the RIAA will tweak its rules to include data about streaming when calculating which albums have gone platinum, and Ed Sheeran “will become the biggest male pop solo act in the world.”

But we’re betting you have your own predictions about the world of music, including projections about ticket prices, free music killing the recording industry, and whetherBono will ever ride a bicycle again.  You know, the important stuff you’ve been telling all your friends and relatives about during the past couple of weeks.
