LN Sued For Lamb Of God Show Injuries

William Tarantino claims that, while at in the “standing only” area the show, he was “violently knocked to the ground and trampled,” according to a lawsuit filed in the District Court of Bridgeport, Conn.

Tarantino claims he received multiple traumatic fractures of the cervical spine requiring surgical fusion, bruises and contusions, and permanent impairment of the spine among other injuries. He has or is obligated to pay bills for an ambulance, two hospitals, physicians and various other medical expenses.

Tarantino seeks damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of interest and costs. Live Nation had no comment. The alleged incident took place a year after Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe was accused of manslaughter for the death of a Czech fan in 2010, and just months after Blythe was acquitted. Blythe was accused of pushing a 19-year-old who had climbed onto the stage during a 2010 concert at Prague’s Abaton club. The alleged incident came a few months before Blythe wrote a lengthy, emotional blog post about safety.

“If you are in a band, remember what has happened to me, to Daniel [Nosek], and to his family,” Blythe wrote. “If you are playing a show, make sure that security is adequate and that barricades are properly placed. … If you are a promoter or club manager/owner, make sure your security and barricades are sufficient for the event you will be having on any given night. … f you are a fan coming to a Lamb of God show and are planning on stage diving, know that in no uncertain terms you are not welcome on our stage.”
