Moshing apparently got a little out of hand during a Cattle Decapitation concert at the  inside La Habra 300 Bowl, and a man became angry when he saw his girlfriend being pushed and shoved. Adam Merill jumped into the mosh pit and cut another man’s neck with a pocket knife, police told the Orange County Register.

Merill was then reportedly dragged out of the venue by other patrons and knocked unconscious.

The patron with a neck wound was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive, police said. Merill was also treated and released, and was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the paper. “Yeah, shit got crazy last night at our La Habra gig,” the band posted on Facebook regarding the assault. “We hope everyone involved is OK.”
