Eminem Visits Terminally Ill Fan At His Rochester Hills Home
Rapper and Detroit native Eminem has fulfilled the wish of a terminally ill fan who recently was given about a week to live.
Eminem surprised 17-year-old Gage Garmo at his Rochester Hills home on Sunday evening. The Detroit Free Press reports the pair sat in the family’s living room talking about hip-hop and football.
Gage was diagnosed with bone cancer three years ago, when he was a freshman at Rochester High School. He received the news last week that he wasn’t expected to survive much longer.
Friends and classmates helped spread Gage’s wish to meet his musical hero on social media. Michigan-based charity Rainbow Connection was able to set up a meeting with Eminem within 48 hours.
