Charles Attal of Austin-based C3 Presents told the Austin Chronicle that the mistake they made when they took over Australia’s Big Day Out was to continue running it as a six-city touring festival. 

“We should have gone into Melbourne and Sydney, probably, and branded it that way,” he said, adding that the days of touring festivals “are moving on.”
