Lil Wayne’s Not So Great Week

It hasn’t been the best of weeks for Lil Wayne – a crank call resulted in his Florida home being surrounded by police, someone sent a prostitute to his house, and now video of him storming off of a stage is the net’s latest primo video.

Weezy’s most recent problem occurred while performing last night at Florida’s Nova Southeastern University.  The rapper was seven songs into his set when the DJ played “Coco” by O.T. Genasis instead of Lil Wayne’s remix of the tune, reports E! Online.

Lil Wayne wasn’t happy about the mistake.  He threw his mic at the DJ and then walked off of the stage.

Of course, there’s video.

Thursday’s snafu was only the latest in a string of bizarre incidents surrounding the performer.  A prostitute showed up at Lil Wayne’s home, claiming that he had personally requested her, according to TMZ.  But Lil Wayne never ordered her service.  What’s more, “she didn’t even get cab fare back,” according to the online celebrity news outlet.

Wednesday was the day Lil Wayne’s home made the national news.  Miami Beach police surrounded the house after receiving a phone call from a person saying he had just shot four people inside the building. Called “swatting,” this style of hoaxing has been limited mostly to players in the online gaming world.  Could swatting rappers be the next craze?

Apparently someone has been harassing Lil Wayne for a couple of weeks.  What’s more, his people think they know who the perp is and have given the person’s phone number to the police, reports TMZ.  So maybe these series of annoying incidents will end soon.

Or maybe not.  After all, you never know what next week will bring.
