Eagles Latest To Ban Selfies Downunder
During the Eagles’ 14 arena dates downunder Feb. 18 to March 15 for Frontier Touring, they laid down the rules before each three-hour show. No cameras, no selfies, no smartphones, no torches and no lids on water bottles.

Anyone flouting the rules would be asked to leave. Most fans conformed, although most waited until the two encores before flashing. The Eagles were the latest to make a stand on selfies.
Venues including Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Sydney Entertainment Centre, Domain Stadium WA, Perth Arena and Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane have refused entry to patrons carrying selfie sticks.
This year’s Soundwave festival confiscated them. Promoter AJ Maddah explained, “It is just the ultimate expression of narcissism (and I am) not going to tolerate one person using them.”
