Rolling Stones’ Announcement Not Until End Of Month?

“Satisfaction Thursday” has come and gone and U.S. dates for The Rolling Stones are still being kept under wraps.  Will the world have to wait until the end of March and “Ruby Tuesday” for word on where Mick Jagger & Co. will play?

That seems to be the case, according to The Star Tribune.  Citing a source “close to the Stones, the Minneapolis newspaper says the announcement is now slated for March 31.

The reason for the delay is the same as emerged yesterday.  According to Nashville TV station WKRN, an issue with the nationwide promoter’s ticketing is being blamed.”

While not actually saying it would announce a tour March 19, in recent days the band’s Facebook and Twitter accounts teased messages like #Satisfaction Thursday, while in the brick-and-mortar world billboards went up in several markets featuring classic Stones imagery.

But even though no announcement was made on Satisfaction Thursday, there were other indications regarding The Rolling Stones’ intentions.  Nashville Mayor Karl Dean said the band would play LP Field in “mid to late June” and The Star Tribune reported that Minneapolis’ TCF Bank Stadium is “on the list of U.S. outdoor venues” for the summer tour.
