Another CAA Agent Exits For UTA

Andrew Skikne has joined UTA’s touring department where he is reunited with former CAA comedy agent Nick Nuciforo, as well as agents Jason Heyman, Martin Lesak, Gregory McKnight and Greg Cavic – all of whom defected from CAA to UTA March 31. Five more reportedly switched teams within the next 48 hours. Nuciforo now heads up UTA’s comedy touring division.

CAA filed suit April 2 against UTA, McKnight and Cavic, alleging interference with contracts and breach of fiduciary duty, among other things, in what the agency’s complaint called a “lawless midnight raid.” Arbitration cases have reportedly been filed in the cases of Nuciforo, Heyman and Lesak, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Presumably, the three had arbitration clauses in their contracts.
