ReplyBuy Enters Entertainment Space

A relative newcomer to the ticketing space that’s been snapping up sports clients is entering the concert side of the biz with the announcement of several new partnerships.

Arizona-based ReplyBuy allows fans to sign up with their favorite teams to instantly buy tickets via text. A user creates an account and when a ticket to a game becomes available based on their preference, they’ll receive a notification from ReplyBuy alerting them of the tickets and the price point. The Palace of Auburn Hills and  in Michigan.

“Really we see ourselves as introducing a layer of convenience into the sports and entertainment market,” Manley told Pollstar. “There’s a lot of fragmentation in the market as far as communication goes. Fans are overwhelmed with email; they have app fatigue. So what we’ve done is streamlined it and turned simple conversations into seamless transactions.” Text purchases also complement what’s going on in the ticket market, he added. “People don’t plan like they used to.

The majority of ticket-buying decisions are made within 72 hours leading up to an event,” Manley said. ReplyBuy has the capability to integrate into any ticketing platform, and is already offering its services to clients that use everything from Ticketmaster to Veritix’s Flash Seats as their primary provider. And the service can be tailored to fit the client’s wishes, Manley explained, noting there’s even the potential for selling merch.

“It could be used for presales,” he said. “It could be used for a ticket in the 72 hours leading up to the event. It’s totally dependent on how the client wants to utilize this.”
