Ride is certainly making up for lost time. This week the band expanded its 2015 schedule with a run of East Coast and Midwest dates. The fall excursion kicks off Sept. 17 in Washington, D.C.

The British shoegaze band delighted fans when it announced last November that Andy Bell, Mark Gardner, Laurence ‘Loz’ Colbert and Steve Queralt would be reuniting in 2015 for their first shows in nearly 20 years.

After playing O2 Academy Oxford April 5, the act headed to California for a half a dozen gigs, including appearances at Coachella.

The Los Angeles Times declared, “In the band’s absence, Ride’s sound has endured,” while Rolling Stone noted that “the bristling wall of sound was just as brooding, rumbling and heavy as we remembered.”

Ride will be back on stage on Friday with a gig at Atlanta’s Terminal West ahead of its slot at Shaky Knees Festival. The band will stay busy throughout the summer with headline dates and festival appearances in the U.S., Europe, Japan and South Korea.
