Erik Scott, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, told LA Weekly three people were taken to nearby hospitals and the rest declined to be transported.

“An individual jumped up and grabbed a camera boom and forced that boom to collapse,” Scott said. “Eight individuals in that crowd were struck and suffered minor lacerations and head and back trauma.”

Aside from $100 VIP tickets, the show, which was organized by Mayor Eric Garcetti’s office, was free to the public as long as attendees registered to receive info about Garcetti’s Volunteer Corps.

Police told the paper no arrests were made.
