Trade Your ‘Air Miles’ For Concerts

Air Miles, a Canadian company that awards consumers points, or miles, for purchases, has added concerts to its rewards repertoire.  So if you buy a toaster from a participating vendor, you just might see your favorite act for free.

The company has partnered with Live Nation Canada to offer various packages as rewards for collecting “air miles.”  Via its Air Miles Stage Pass, collectors can exchange Air Miles for discounts and perks at select shows as well as for opportunities to win VIP and exclusive experiences.

“Canadians love music, and we are thrilled to be able to make live music even more accessible to Collectors by giving them the opportunity to experience it in a new way,” Air Miles marketing VP Rachel MacQueen said.  “At Air Miles, we are committed to deliver exceptional experiences to our collectors that are unique and memorable.  Live Nation is an ideal partner to help us deliver on that promise.”

Air Miles and Live Nation Canada commemorated their new partnership by presenting Juno award-winning band Arkells in an interactive experience in Toronto.  The alt-rock band treated the city to free performances while riding through parts of downtown Toronto June 16 atop a double-decker bus, stopping at times to chat up fans.
