DEAG Starts UK Ticket Firm

German promoter Deutsche Entertainment AG and its UK offshoots Kilimanjaro Live and Raymond Gubbay Ltd. have set up a company to sell tickets for their British shows.

They launched www.myticket.co.uk at the end of June.

The MyTicket concept was developed by DEAG and has been running in Germany for six months. In the first full quarter of myticket.de’s business operations, it was responsible for 5 percent of all of the group’s tickets sold online.

DEAG sells around 1.2 million tickets per year via in the UK for events promoted by Kilimanjaro Live and Raymond Gubbay Ltd. The launch of myticket.co.uk will merge the companies’ sales activities in order to open up myticket.co.uk for third-party providers next year after the start-up phase has been completed.

“We have always operated as an independent promoter and myticket.co.uk allows us to continue to do so and provide fans with tickets directly,” said Kilimanjaro Live chief Stuart Galbraith.
