Rise Against Has More Shows For You.
It makes no sense to stay home while your album is all over the charts. For Rise Against the album is The Black Market. Released in July 2014, the disc landed hit no. 1 on iTunes Alternative Album Chart and debuted at No. 1 in Germany, Australia and Canada.
“There’s a lot of raw emotion on this record,” singer/guitarist Tim McIlrath said. “I underestimated just what a Rise Against song is, what the lyrics are and how they can sometimes take you to a dark place. I used to go into songs and walk away virtually unscathed. When I was creating this record I was having a hard time walking away from it – I was wallowing in the sadness and the angst of the songs.”
