Summer Festivals Unveil International Lineups

Three major Australian festivals unveiled their international draws for the 2015/6 summer season.

The country and roots CMC Rocks Queensland March 11-13 has the largest international contingent in its nine-year history with 18 artists.

Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line make their Aussie debuts, with other North American acts including Brantley Gilbert, Kip Moore, Tyler Farr, The Hillbenders (doing a bluegrass version of The Who’s Tommy), Blackjack Billy, Kelsea Ballerini, Chase Rice, The Cadillac Three, CAM, Drake White and The Big Fire, The Road Hammers, and Tim Hicks. Rob Potts co-promotes the event with Chugg Entertainment.

CMA Music Festival, LP Field, Nashville, Tenn.

The EDM Stereosonic, Nov. 28 to Dec. 6, is headlined by Armin van Buuren. Others includes has Major Lazer (with creative controller Diplo also booked for a DJ set), Swedish duo Axwell and Ingrosso and Galantis, France’s DJ Snake, Clean Bandit and Duke Dumont along with globally renowned Aussie acts including Will Sparks, Timmy Trumpet and Peking Duk.

Lollapalooza, Grant Park, Chicago, Ill.

The Falls Festival staged in Victoria, Tasmania and Byron Bay starting late December announced Foals, Bloc Party, Disclosure, Django Django and Gary Clark Jr. in its first artist announcement, which also included Australian multi-platinum hip hop trio Hilltop Hoods.
