Tim McGraw Cancels Weekend Gigs

Illness and prescribed vocal rest has forced country star Tim McGraw to cancel shows scheduled in California for tonight and Saturday evening. That’s bad news for fans in Mountain View and Irvine.

DTE Energy Music Theatre, Clarkston, Mich.

McGraw was to play the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View Sept. 18 and the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine Sept. 19.

“This is so disappointing to me,” McGraw said in a Sept. 18 posting on his Facebook page. “We’ve had such a great summer and I was looking forward to this final weekend with the fans in California. I appreciate the support and look forward to coming back soon. The word ‘can’t’ is just not in my DNA, if there was any way I could sing, I would do it.”
