Pope Francis Releasing Album

Sup, you Pope Francis fanatics. Want to sample his Holiness’s upcoming album? It drops in a few months but one of the tracks is available now. Also, this isn’t a joke.

Due out Nov. 27, Wake Up!, is a Vatican-approved album in collaboration with Believe Digital. Rolling Stone reports that the LP “features the Pontiff delivering sacred hymns and excerpts of his most moving speeches in multiple languages paired with uplifting musical accompaniment ranging from pop-rock to Gregorian chant.”

The track “Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!” is available on SoundCloud and premiered on Rolling Stone today. The song, which RS described as “reminiscent of Godspeed You! Black Emperor,” features Pope Francis’ speech to a South Korean audience last year.

Pre-orders of Wake Up! are ongoing via iTunes and include an instant download of “Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward.”
