Luckily, fans didn’t have to pay for tickets in the first place, although the emotional pain for Beliebers must have been close to unbearable. Bieber’s Norwegian fans are said to be among the singer’s most faithful followers.

Media reports state that school exams are postponed on a regular basis so as not to clash with his concerts. So when JB got really close to his Beliebers to mop up a spilled drink off the edge of the stage at a showcase gig at Chateau Neuf in the heart of Oslo – they of course freaked out. It apparently became too much for the superstar, who walked off stage, having performed only one song before taking on janitor’s duties.

Bieber is promoting upcoming album Purpose around the world. His gig at the Chateau Neuf was a special showcase and he wasn’t scheduled to play more than six songs. Margit Bøhn, promotion manager at Universal Music Norway, told Pollstar, that “all tickets were given out by competitions, no tickets were sold. No local promoter was involved.”

Whether Justin Bieber took that into account when leaving the building remains unclear. His fans would have still felt crossed, as would TV 2. Norway’s largest commercial TV channel was all set to record the show, as Torbjørn Heitmann Valum, CEO of Norway’s promoters association Norske Konsertarrangører, told Pollstar.

It’s the latest in what some are calling the “hissy fit” tour.

Bieber stormed out of a Spanish radio interview after being asked bizarre questions, and criticized fans in Spain during an acoustic performance of not clapping on beat. Bieber later posted to Instagram that he’s been having “long days no sleep, while having to be ‘on’ as they would say for the cameras, fans, etc.”
