The Korea Herald reports that the company is looking for new talent to represent, and not just in the music field. Rain Company has different teams to handle musicians and acting, and will also launch separate divisions for work in China and the United States.

In fact, Jung said in a statement that the agency will be modeled on the “agency system of the U.S.,” presumably indicating that it will not adhere to the Korean system, which tends to cultivate talent from the ground up rather than discover already developed artists.

Rain’s U.S. affairs will mainly be handled by William Morris Endeavor Entertainment. Rain, who is 33, started his career as the member of a boy band when he was 16, and went solo when he was 20. He then attained stardom by acting in TV shows and movies, including several Hollywood productions.
