French Clubs Reopen
“Following the tragic events of the night of November 13, our deepest thoughts go first and foremost to the victims, the injured, their families and all those who will have to rebuild after attending these dramas,” a statement issued by several venues reads. “We have lost colleagues but also many friends. It is the great family of the Parisian nightlife that was targeted by the attacks, but also a certain way of life that we defend every day. Music, dance, sharing, meetings, the social bond, diversity are values that we carry and that have obviously been targeted by these terrorists for destruction.
“That will not work.”
“Today we mourn the loss of our friends and all victims. But we do not fold before the injunction to live in fear. This is why we unanimously decided to reopen our curtains as quickly as possible with enhanced security measures but especially with the urge to vibrate with our audience more than ever.
“Nothing and nobody will keep Paris from dancing.”
The statement was signed by the following clubs: A la Folie Paris, Badaboum, Batofar, Concrete, Djoon, le Faust, Glaz’art, Gibus, Java, Mercredi Production, La Machine du Moulin Rouge, Queen, Rex Club, Social Club, Showcase, Virgo, Wanderlust, Weather Festival, Yoyo and Zig Zag Club.
