Iberian Festival Awards Winners

The first Iberian Festival Awards gala honoring festivals from Spain and Portugal took place March 3 as part of Talkfest, an annual festival conference that started in Lisbon in 2012. 

The winners from Spain included Primavera Sound (best major festival, best touristic promotion, best communication), Bilbao BBK Live (best campsite, best infrastructure), Mundaka Festival (best new festival), Vetusta Morla at Medusa Sunbeach (best live performance national), Cruïlla Barcelona (best cultural program), and Ticketea (best use of technology).

Award recipients from Portugal include Bons Sons (best medium-sized festival, the contribution to sustainability award), Flower Power Fest (best small festival), Party Sleep Repeat (best indoor festival), FFM Sines (best line-up), Vodafone FM (best media partner), Muse at NOS Alive (best live performance international), Sleep’em’All (best service provider), Vodafone (best brand activation) and PiknicElectronik Lisboa (best hospitality).

The award for excellence and passion went to Miguel Cadete, editorial director of Portuguese publisher Impresa and its monthly music magazine Blitz.
