Strange Little Birds is scheduled to drop June 10 on the band’s own StunVolume label. Frontwoman Shirley Manson commented on the album, saying it returns Garbage to the sound the band created with its 1995 self-titled debut disc.

“To me, this record, funnily enough, has the most to do with the first record than any of the previous records,” Manson said.  “It’s getting back to that beginner’s headspace. … In part, that’s a result of not having anyone to answer to.”
