Motion City Soundtrack’s Final Adventure

Last week the members of Motion City Soundtrack announced the band will embark on its farewell tour beginning in May.  This week brings dates to help cushion the sad news.  Destinations include the Portland, Ore., opener along with stops across the land.

Motion City Soundtrack released six albums during its 18-year career, including its I Am The Movie debut on Epitaph, 2007’s Even If It Kills Me and 2010’s My Dinosaur Life.  The band’s most recent album, Panic Stations, dropped in 2015.

Members announced last week that several conversations led to a “bittersweet realization.”

“We have no idea what the future holds, but for now we are done,” Motion City Soundtrack said in its statement. “Needless to say, we’re feeling all the feels – you may be as well.  If so, or if you’ve ever been touched by our music, we ask you to come out and sing along with us one last time in 2016.”

Now it’s time to figure out where you can sing along with Motion City Soundtrack. Joining the tour will be The Spill Canvas and Microwave.  Although the run’s second leg concludes with a gig in the band’s Minneapolis hometown, there is one lone August show scheduled for Sayreville, N.J.
