Wes Scantlin Arrested After Gig
Entertainment Weekly reports it confirmed the arrest and bail amount of $250,000. Scantlin, the sole original member of Puddle of Mudd, has been in the news somewhat regularly in recent years for questionable behavior – most recently for skipping a hearing in a case in which he was accused of vandalizing a house he’d lost to foreclosure last year. The failure to appear in court is believed to be the reason he was taken into custody.
According to TMZ.com, Scantlin was cuffed and escorted out of the 280-capacity Saint Rocke as soon as Puddle of Mudd’s set ended. The post-gig arrest comes just more than a month after Scantlin’s bandmates walked out on him in the middle of a March 22 set in Diamond Live Lounge in Doncaster, UK, leaving the singer alone to rant at his unhappy audience.
