Live Nation’s $20 Lawn Tickets

For the second year in a row, Live Nation is having a $20 lawn ticket sale. Unlike last year, however, this is for nearly 1,000 shows from 150 artists and occurs at Live Nation amphitheatres coast-to-coast.

The promotion begins May 13 and runs through May 20. Visit LiveNation.com/kickoff to purchase tickets.

Bob Roux, Live Nation’s co-president of North America Concerts, told Pollstar that last year’s promotion was such a hit that it was easy to get artists, agents, and managers to get on board for the bigger launch and its $800,000 marketing budget.

“The marketing increased overall excitement and ticket sales, it was a win-win for us in both cases,” Roux said. “With on-sales happening earlier every year, it’s a great way to reintroduces our 2016 summer season.  It gives us a nice bump.”

Last year’s $20 tickets not only increased lawn sales during the promotion week but afterward, too. It also increased reserved seat sales both during and after the promotion, according to Live Nation.

“We showed the agencies data from last year. As you know, it was a record year with 14 million amphitheatre tickets sold,” Roux said. “Everyone really stands behind Live Nation’s marketing program.”

Here is a list of artists participating in the summer sale.  You’ll need to scroll a ways.
