Cliff Richard Sex Crime Allegations Probed

In 2014, South Yorkshire police first launched an investigation into allegations “that date back to the 1980s and involve an under-age boy,” as Reuters reports.

Richard maintained that the allegations were false, and an arrest was never made.

Now the Crown Prosecution Service has received a “full file of evidence from the police,” the report continues. “We will now carefully consider its contents (…) in order to establish whether there is sufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction, and whether it is in the public interest to do so,” it said in a statement.
