Journey’s attorney Howard King said the band inked a deal with Monster Inc. (or Monster Cable Products) to play the Consumer Electronics Show in January, and the agreement guaranteed payment of $500,000, even if the show was canceled.

The band was later removed from the show’s lineup, but was never paid, the suit filed on May 13 claims. The lawsuit is reportedly seeking $500,000, plus interest and legal expenses. The band had no comment.
