Hoodie Allen
She’s represented the likes of Eminem, Kanye West, and Tupac Shakur, but she had never met someone with the Long Island, N.Y., native’s unique skill set of rapping ability and Silicon Valley tech knowledge.
“He was straight out of Google with a vast knowledge of social media and platforms and how it all worked,” Lewis told Pollstar. “This was intriguing to me. He was able to decipher analytics that would eventually determine how our business runs.”
Allen entered the national stage with a series of mixtapes between 2009 and 2011. While he released his first EP All American in 2012, and had the People Keep Talking album in 2014, Hoodie’s live shows, which feature a full band, have separated him from the pack.
“Hoodie has an amazing, high-energy show and delivers every time. He understands consistency in releasing music and touring, as well as how production and visuals add to the fan experience.
“I remember when he did an underplay tour, ‘Hanging with Hoodie,’ just to be able to offer fans the opportunity to have a one-on-one experience.”
That fan experience has given the self-managed Allen staying power. Not only does he always make time to spend with fans, he has used social media to keep those relationships strong. Last year he opened for Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa, giving thousands more a chance to experience his live performances.
Allen recently completed the U.S. leg of his most recent tour with SuperDuperKyle after the release of 2016’s Happy Camper and he leaves for Europe in August.
