LN Sued Over 2014 HARD Death

Already facing charges of wrongful death from the family of a deceased concertgoer at HARD Summer 2015, Live Nation now faces another suit for the death of a teenager at the 2014 incarnation of the festival.

Julie Tran filed suit against LN, Hard Events, and Staff Pro security two years after her 19-year-old daughter, Emily, died of “acute intoxication of ecstasy” after attending the Whittier, Calif., rave according to the Los Angeles Times.

The suit claims  in Devore, and said she would bring the issue up again in board meetings.

The San Manuel Amphitheater annually hosts Insomniac’s Nocturnal Wonderland and other events, although two have died at raves in San Bernardino County since 2013 and many locals have complained about noise, traffic and drug use.

The parents of 18-year-old Katie Dix filed a lawsuit against Live Nation in July, accusing the company of wrongful death, negligence, premises liability and public nuisance in the death of their daughter at the 2015 event.
