Revamped LeeFest Celebrates Successful Premiere
Dubbed LeeFest Presents: The Neverland, organizers around founder Lee Denny had curated “three distinct realms defined by their décor, characters and music.”
The latter was provided by Lianne La Havas, Circa Waves, Ghostpoet, Everything Everything and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes among others.
For the first time in its history – LeeFest started in Denny’s family home garden in 2006 – it took place near Tunbridge Wells, welcoming some 5,000 guests. Visitors of the 10th edition were encouraged to dress according to one of the three “realms:” Pirates, Mermaids, or Lost Boys.
Besides the music, “fire-breathing, paint-fighting, bass-jumping, anthem-singing, adventure-hunting, tribe-joining, glitter-wrestling,” were part of the experience.
“We found our Neverland! It’s been two years in the making and I was overwhelmed with the dazzling atmosphere. All credit must go to those that believed and refused to grow old. Crew, artists, pirates, mermaids, lost boys; you worked and partied so hard to bring this spectacular kingdom to life,” Denny said.
Early bird tickets are on sale for next year’s edition, which will take place on the same site July 27-29.
