Nena has toured all over but never made it to the United States until now and as far as she is concerned, it’s the perfect time.

“…now’s the right time. It’s always now!” Nena said. “When you want to do something and it just doesn’t happen, you shouldn’t be sad or disappointed because, well, 35 years later, it happens! It’s perfect timing!”

“99 Luftballons” was released in the early ’80s off of Nena’s self-titled debut LP and the English version, “99 Red Balloons” dropped later on. Nena has performed as both a solo artist and a band and has recorded sixteen studio albums over the span of her career.

Her latest full-length, Oldschool, was released last year and features the track, “Genau Jetzt,” (right now). Check out the video below:

Sept. 30 – San Francisco, Calif., The Regency Ballroom
Oct. 2 – Los Angeles, Calif., The Regent Theatre
Oct. 4 – New York, N.Y., PlayStation Theatre

Tickets are on sale now. Visit Nena’s Facebook page for more information.
