Moby Announces Circle V Festival

Moby’s is the latest event to make its debut in 2016. The 100% vegan festival is the place to be to catch the only live show of 2016 from the electronic musician/DJ and animal rights activist.

“Circle V is the coming together of my life’s work, animal rights and music,” Moby said. “I couldn’t be more excited about this event and am so proud to be headlining.”

The fest takes place Oct. 23 at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.

All proceeds benefit Mercy For Animals, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization that is “dedicated to preventing cruelty to farmed animals and promoting compassionate food choices and policies.”

Circle V features speakers and food from 1-6 p.m., followed by performances from Moby, Blaqk Audio, and Cold Cave.

Speakers include Kat Von D, John Salley, Jane Velez-Mitchell, Kathy Freston, Nathan Runkle, Ingrid Newkirk, Gene Baur, Dr. Neal Barnard and more.

Curated by Eat Drink Vegan, the menu features a variety of tasty treats by top L.A. restaurants.

Based on Moby’s latest doctor’s appointment results, you might want to consider giving a vegan diet a try. In addition to supporting animal rights, a vegan diet could help you live longer.

“I just had my yearly physical and my doctor said I’m as healthy as a 20 year old, which is nice to hear, as I‘m 50,” Moby posted on Instagram Sunday, with a picture of his smoothie ingredients.

“It’s not rocket science: I exercise every day, avoid toxins, and have this daily monster of a smoothie. Why not take care of yourself, eat well, exercise, so that you can live long and be healthy and happy and avoid all of the unnecessary maladies like obesity, most cancers, heart disease, etc? Of course everyone eventually gets sick and dies, but why not do your best to avoid bad things that can be avoided and prevented?”
