Ms. Lauryn Hill Extends ‘Diaspora Calling’ Schedule

As promised, Ms. Lauryn Hill has added more dates to “The MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling! Concert Series.” New stops include New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Orleans and Raleigh, N.C.

The concert series follows Hills’ inaugural Diaspora Calling! festival, which took place in April at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre.

Hill will be joined by guest performers “from different parts of the African diaspora” including Nas, Machel Montano, Talib Kweli, Soul Rebels, Kehlani, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Jesse Royal, and Jojo Abot on select dates.

The full lineup for each show will be revealed in the coming weeks.

“The MHL Caravan allows me to continue the theme of unity and celebration of the many facets of cultural and artistic beauty throughout the African diaspora while on tour this summer and fall,” Hill said. “In these days of tension, tumult and transition, an exchange of this kind can yield direction, expression, understanding and empowerment as well as connection, self-love and appreciation that hopefully overflows into our respective communities.”
