A fire destroyed K.B. Hallen in 2011. The new building is supposed to be completed in 2018, which is when Eventim and Nordisk Film will work on re-establishing its reputation as one of the region’s main venues for cultural and sports events. Radiohead, The Strokes, Katy Perry, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Laurel and Hardy, Bjørn Borg and Winston Churchill are some of the acts and personalities that helped build a reputation for K.B. Hallen.

The new arena will have a flexible capacity of up to 4,900 people. According to Eventim’s Senior Vice President Rainer Appel, it will be equipped with state of the art technology to facilitate a variety of possible uses. Nordisk Film is part of Denmark’s largest media corporation, the Egmont Group. Through the joint venture with Eventim, which was formed in March 2016, it sells tickets in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
