Controversy Over Canceled Concert

YFN Lucci’s concert scheduled at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium in El Dorado, Ark., Sept. 24 was moved to another location after the mayor canceled the contract with the show’s promoter.

Mayor Frank Hash reportedly said profane and explicit lyrics in the artist’s songs and the potential for violence were the reasons he axed the gig, according to the El Dorado News-Times.

Hash had spoken with Police Chief Billy White who informed him of the violent outbreak at Alpha 6ix bar & Grille in Little Rock in March where eight shots were fired but no one was injured.

Promoter Memory Parker has taken legal action against the city and Lucci’s show was moved to Ms Kitty Park in Huttig, Ark., for the Arkansas/Louisiana Car and Bike Show. An event for the stop the violence movement.
