The Wood Brothers Announces 2017 Dates
Today’s announcement comes ahead of the kick-off of the three-piece band’s fall tour, which begins in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Wednesday and runs through Dec. 13 in Jackson, Wyo.
The guys have had a busy year. Many might agree with The Wood Brothers’ PR rep, who calls 2016 “their most successful year yet,” thanks to appearances at Bonnaroo, Carnegie Hall, Celebrate Brooklyn, Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble and Red Rock Amphitheatre.
The folk band is made up of Oliver Wood (acoustic/electric guitar) and his brother Chris (upright bass) of Medeski Martin & Wood fame, along with multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix.
The group is currently working on the follow-up to its 2015’s release, Paradise. Writing sessions are underway for the new LP.
