Lindsay Ell
Ell was the valedictorian of her high school in Calgary, Alberta, graduating a year early. She studied business at the University of Calgary and music at the Berklee College of Music. The guitar phenom, pianist and singer would travel back and forth from Calgary to Nashville to attend songwriting sessions before signing to Stoney Creek Records.
She’s toured with Buddy Guy, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and The Band Perry, just to name a few. She closed the Canadian Country Music Awards earlier this year then traveled with Jennifer Nettles and Brandy Clark on the CMT Next Women of Country Tour.
“Lindsay played just about every fair, festival, club, radio show and fan event that she could get to, in front of 20 to 20,000 people under every circumstance imaginable,” manager Bryan Frasher said. “She’s building a legion of devoted followers one handshake and hug at a time.”
Frasher added that she works hard as well at being a ridiculously nice person.
“She is either playing, writing, working out, or promoting shows and music on social media. If you are around her for more than five minutes, you’ll probably end up on Snapchat or Instagram or both – an attribute that earned her a nomination at the CMT Awards this past June,” he said.
“She’s been paying her dues since she was 15 years old,” Frasher added. “She’s earned the respect and admiration of every musician, club owner or concert promoter she has ever worked with and knows them all by name. She shows up on time, carrying her own gear, and with a big smile on her face no matter how long it took to get to the show or what circumstances she had to make happen to get there.”
She tours this fall with Eric Paslay and Kip Moore. A single drops in early 2017, followed by an EP or LP. Meanwhile, one can check out her original music online, along with covers of artists like fun., The Weeknd, John Mayer, and Fleetwood Mac.
