Less than an hour into the show he said he had “no [expletive] voice, I can’t do the show,” a video from TMZ shows. He ordered the lights on, apologized and promised refunds to the masses in attendance, and then began his descent back to earth on his now trademark floating stage.

West is a noted perfectionist when it comes to his music and has been known to restart performances mid-song after making a mistake.

Fans were unhappy though and booed after the stage had finished its descent.

The gig was his sixth night at the venue during the “Saint Pablo Tour,” added to the routing less than a week out due to high demand for tickets. “Saint Pablo” has already gone for more than two months, including another show he abandoned after finding out his wife had been robbed at gunpoint in a Paris hotel.

West now has a brief break before resuming with his California performances in San Jose Nov. 17. At press time Ticketmaster had begun issuing refunds for the performance, although it was not clear whether all fans got their money back.
