Dodger Fan Awarded $475K
A Los Angeles jury awarded $475,000 to a longtime Dodgers fan for injuries he suffered during a 2009 incident with security guards at Dodger Stadium.

The Superior Court panel deliberated for three hours Nov. 15 before finding in favor of Leonard Romo in his suit against the team. The jury reportedly found Romo partially negligent, so the award was reduced. The incident happened during a Dodgers 3-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates Sept. 16, 2009.
Romo claims he was hurt when guards tackled, handcuffed and dragged him. Defense attorneys said Romo and his daughter became belligerent when security guards asked her to turn her T-shirt inside out because it had offensive language on it.
