Metallica’s ‘Sandman’ Enters The Supermarket

Metallica warmed up for Thursday’s concert in Los Angeles byputting on a little show for a local supermarket. The band even got the butcherworking the deli counter to help out with vocals.

James Hetfield & Co. made some noise at Gelson’s inHollywood, Calif., yesterday by blaring the band’s hit “Enter Sandman” on a speakerinside of a shopping cart. A video captured by TMZ shows the band accompanied by Billy Eichner of “Billy on theStreet.”

While some shoppers stopped to take photos on their phonesand others attempted to keep looking for groceries, the guys behind the delicounter took a break from work to rock out.

Metallica has had a busy week. In addition to playing The Fonda in Los Angeles on Thursday, the heavy metal band appeared on “JimmyKimmel” on Wednesday, Lars Ulrich stopped by 95.5 KLOS-FM for an interview withSteve Jones, and Hetfield and Kirk Hammett recorded a segment with ChrisHardwick for the “Nerdist” podcast.

On Tuesday the band released the behind the scenes video forthe song “Now That We’re Dead.”

The track is included on the band’s 10th studio album,Hardwired … to Self-Destruct, which was released in November. 

Now, we’re waiting for the band to announce U.S. tour datesfor 2017. So far, Metallica’s schedule includes gigs in South Korea, China,Singapore, Denmark, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. You can also catch theband at The Fonda on Columbus, Ohio, May 21.
