New Director For Midem

Alexandre Deniot has been introduced as successor to Midem director Jérome Delhaye, who served as interim director for the 50th edition of the music annual music conference in Cannes, France.

While Delhaye only took over temporarily because longstanding director Bruno Crolot had left after the 2015 edition, Deniot is a proper appointment. Deniot has 15 years of experience within the music sector, mainly at Universal Music Group, where he was most recently director of business development for the major’s Paris-based digital division.

Deniot said it was “an exciting time to join the Midem team. Midem has faced the same challenges as the global music industry. That industry shows clear signs of a return to growth, driven by increasing digital revenues and a spread of the digital footprint in such high-potential markets as China and the African continent.
