The Wallingford Police Department told WTNH-TV that the chief has been collaborating with theatre officials regarding security at events.

“We’re going to do it on a show-by-show basis, determine what we think is appropriate for extra man power,” Wallingford Police Department’s Lt. Cheryl Bradley told the station. “We are supplementing their security team.”

The theatre hosted Jan. 27 an event called Hyperglow, a dance party with art and body painting, with several police officers there as extra security to deter potential problems, WTNH said.

Just after 11:00 p.m. Dec. 30 shots were heard coming from the parking lot. The show had just ended and the Oakdale was closing when the shooting occurred. Authorities haven’t linked violence to the performance or Meek Mill.

Travis Ward, 31, and Jacquan Graves, 20, died. Two other men sustained non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
