Ann Wilson Wears Her ‘Heart’ On Her Sleeve

Ann Wilson is extending her time on the road to showcase hits from Heart and her solo career.

The singer/songwriter is taking the stage tonight at The Birchmere in Alexandria, Va., and she has shows booked all the way into July. Along the way she is mostly playing theatres and clubs, though she will hit destinations like Fantasy Springs Resort Casino & Special Events Ctr. in Indio, Calif., UC Medical Center Stadium in Florence, Ky., and a few amphitheatres in June.
Regarding the setlist for the “Ann Wilson Of Heart” tour, she told What’s Up magazine : “Expect to see some Heart songs, amazing covers, and new songs that I’ve written. … They’ll see things that really influenced me and they’ll see me stretching out as a singer and improving, hopefully.”
Wilson released a solo album, Live at the Belly Up: The Ann Wilson Thing! in 2016 and she will be playing the Solana Beach, Calif., venue again on this journey.
Joining her onstage will be Heart guitarist Craig Bartock, Andy Stoller holding down the bass, Denny Fongheiser, also former a former Heart member, hitting the drums and Dan Walker tickling the keys.
