Wiz Khalifa Controversy In Colombia

Wiz Khalifa does his thing at Power 99 FM Powerhouse at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia Oct. 28.
Wiz Khalifa angered some people in Colombia when he laid flowers and smoked what appeared to be a joint at the tomb of cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar.
The rapper is an avid marijuana smoker and used his Instagram account to post several photos of him smoking at Escobar’s tomb in Medellin. He was on a tour stop in the country.
Medellin’s Mayor Federico Gutierrez is said to have called the performer a “scoundrel.” He suggested that instead of paying homage to Escobar, Wiz Khalifa should’ve brought flowers to Escobar’s thousands of victims killed during the height of Colombia’s drug violence in the late 1980s.
“Didn’t mean to offend anyone with my personal activities in Colombia but I’m glad we came and got work done and everyone was safe. Peace and love,” the rapper said on Instagram March 28.
