Arrest Made After Rifle Fire Hits Sports Complex

This particular venue was hosting several amateur softball games and a soccer games when the sound of rifle fire became audible and continued for nearly three hours.
People began exiting when a bullet shattered one of the complex’s glass windows.
Police arrested an individual a mile away who had allegedly been firing rounds at an empty 50-gallon drum.
The 19-year-old suspect was charged with shooting at an inhabited dwelling and willful discharge of a firearm in a grossly negligent manner, and held in lieu of $356,000 bail, according to the Manteca Bulletin.
