Joseph Rascoff Dies
Joseph Rascoff, business manager for acts like The Rolling Stones, U2, David Bowie and Sting, died April 6 “surrounded by family,” according to an announcement from his business partner and “dear friend of 45 years,” Bill Zysblat.
Rascoff and Zysblat founded RZO (Rascoff Zysblat Organization) in 1978, representing artists in recorded music contract negotiations, licensing, royalty compliance auditing and worldwide touring.
Rascoff, a 1967 graduate of The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, was a CPA and partner in Hurdman and Cranstoun, a predecessor of accounting firm KPMG.
Since 2005, he was director of sports and media company Van Wagner Group.
