UK Arena Group Stocks Up
Event service provider UK Arena Group acquired the seating and mass participation divisions of Wernick Events, rebranding it Arena Seating.

The multimillion-pound acquisition – exact figures were not disclosed – adds more than 30,000 temporary grandstand seats, scaffolding, deck and truss to the group’s UK stock, which now comprises more than 120,000 temporary seats.
The newly named Arena Seating will continue to operate from Coventry, England, where Wernick Group is based.
Steve Shaw will continue in his role as general manager, reporting directly to Arena UK & Europe sales and marketing director Dave Withey.
“The whole team in Coventry feels very excited at the opportunities ahead of us thanks to the investment and significant additional resources of the Arena Group behind us. This will benefit all of our clients as we focus on improving the quality and range of equipment we can offer them,” said Shaw.

We are focused on achieving a seamless integration of the business into Arena Seating, whilst retaining the Coventry base and thus improving our service level across the UK.
He added that “the rapidly expanding mass participation sports division of the company also adds an exciting new dynamic to our UK offering. This year we will supply over 250 mass participation sports events to prestigious clients including Cancer Research UK, British Military Fitness and the British Heart Foundation.”
