Capshaw Honored By City Of Hope

Coran Capshaw, longtime Dave Matthews Band manager and founder of Red Light Management, will receive City of Hope’s Spirit of Life Award for 2017, bestowed annually by the research and treatment center’s Music, Film and Entertainment Industry Group.

Capshaw founded Red Light Management in 1991 and the award is City of Hope’s highest honor, recognizing a leader whose work has fundamentally impacted the music, film or entertainment industries.

A three-time winner of Pollstar’s Personal Manager of the Year award, he’s grown Red Light Management into the world’s largest such company with more than 250 clients.

“I’m humbled to receive such a great honor from City of Hope, an organization at the forefront of life-changing treatment and research that improves and saves so many lives,” Capshaw said. He will receive the award at City of Hope’s annual gala dinner in Los Angeles Nov. 2.

Recent Spirit of Life honorees include Shelli and Irving Azoff of Azoff MSG Entertainment; Rob Light, head of music at Creative Artists Agency, and Joel Katz of Greenberg Traurig.
